TOUR OF THE WAZA NATIONAL PARK

Waza National Park is a national park situated in the Far North Province of Cameroon. It was founded in 1934, albeit as a hunting reserve and covers a total of 1,700 sq km. The Park instituted a National Park in 1968 and a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1979. The untouched beauty of Waza National Park is stunningly remarkable as this park boasts a wealthy array of flora and fauna.
Wildlife

Waza is home for elephants, antelopes, Western giraffes and lions. Kob-antelopes are now common and their population has been boosted to over 5000 after their existence in the park had been threatened in the 1980s. Other commonly seen animals in the jungle of Waza include wart hog, roan, red-fronted gazelle and korrigum. The Waza National Park is a natural paradise and is one of the most popular and rich wildlife sanctuaries in Cameroon. Most Tourists in Cameroon lead travelers here to have a gala time exploring the varied feature of this park.
For purposes of access, certain guidance rules are in place for visitors. Visits to the park for the public are restricted. Cameroon Tours are acceptable between 15 November and 15 June.
